Our approved UK Carbon Code of Conduct (UKCCC) Net Zero project journey involves a robust Approve – Measure – Report – Verify – Certify – Monetise process:
Every farm/estate/cluster/landscape is unique. We establish the scope of each project using the UKCCC framework which enables us to produce a bespoke approved project plan which follows the full MRV pathway, enabling us to certify a Net Zero position, and when reached, sell high integrity carbon credits.
UKCCC methodology and protocols align with the highest standards including SBTI and ICVCM.
We calculate the current Net Zero position of the whole farming business by establishing a carbon balance baseline analysing:
This creates the robust foundation for our project development, UKCCC certification, then annual project monitoring and updates.
We record all Net Zero project data on a single hosted and interactive platform, providing our clients with secure access to their data for informed decision making.
Our dashboards can be embedded within our clients’ websites enabling the reporting and sharing of information with stakeholders as appropriate.
In the verification process the UKCCC establishes the number of carbon credits that can be issued. Some will be needed to get the landholding business to Net Zero.
UKCCC issues high integrity carbon credits which are robust and assure the central pillars are upheld:
Once Net Zero has been established the UKCCC will certify the position which can be used by the landholding to sell produce at Net Zero into their supply chains, satisfying customers’ Scope 3 emissions.
Certification is updated each year following the project’s annual monitoring report.
This is an opportunity to walk the landholding, discuss the project’s progress, and plan for and implement measures which will continually optimise the opportunity to sequester more carbon and improve biodiversity habitats.
Once the number of remaining carbon credits has been established, the remainder are forwarded to a UKCCC approved Registry and market place to be sold at a time of the project host’s choosing.
